Haqel - In Defense of Human Rights

عن التطبيق

Haqel is a human rights NGO working on behalf of Palestinian landowners in the occupied Palestinian territories tackling land rights violations including prevention of land access, demolitions and forced displacement of families and communities. Haqel works in the South Hebron Hills, villages in the Bethlehem region, and lands in the area of Nablus and Ramallah in the northern West Bank. Haqel's work combines a wide variety of legal interventions with a constant field presence and cooperates with a wide variety of Israeli and Palestinian Civil Society organizations. Haqel also addresses gender equality by empowering women as family representatives in land rights disputes. Haqel means field in Arabic and Aramaic. The field is a source of income and is essential to sustain Palestinian life and culture as farmers and shepherds.
